Big projects & their impact. The case of AIR ALBANIA.

Air Albania is one of those buildings that cannot go unnoticed when you visit Tirana.

What catches the eye even more, is the 112-meter high tower (24 floors) in the corner of the stadium structure, which today is one of the tallest towers in Albania. This building of these dimensions was entrusted to Ales Construction for the construction of the reinforced concrete structure.

The importance of mega projects extends beyond physical presence. They serve as catalysts for the country’s economic growth, investment promotion and job creation. In the case of Tirana, the construction of such a magnificent facility has not only improved the city’s infrastructure, but has also strengthened the country’s reputation on the international stage.

Moreover, such projects have a deep impact on society by nurturing the sense of nationality among Albanians. Today this place serves as a gathering point for sports enthusiasts, cultural events and concerts, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

The construction of large projects often has challenges, especially when it comes to the implementation of reinforced concrete structures. In addition to strength and durability, its application in projects of such a scale requires careful planning, expertise and adherence to strict engineering standards.

In the case of tall structures such as the Air Albania Stadium tower, specialized molds and pumping systems were implemented for the efficient placement of concrete at great heights.

Beyond the challenges, the successful completion of this project showed once again how Ales Construction’s expertise in the construction industry helped complete the skyline of the city of Tirana with another identifying symbol.
